Carol McKnight '89 spotlighted for her work with ATK Defense

Carol McKnight serves as vice president of human resources for ATK Defense where she is responsible for all HR functions supporting a $2 billion business group of 6,000 employees located in 10 states.

McKnight's role includes strategic HR planning, organizational development, compensation and benefits and talent management.

She previously served as the HR VP for ATK's missile products group as well as ATK corporate VP of enterprise talent management, where she was responsible for ATK's executive and employee development strategies, performance management, enterprise staffing initiatives, compensation and corporate HR.

Prior to joining the Arlington,Va.-based firm, McKnight worked at NRG Energy and at SilverStone Consulting in a variety of human resources positions.

She has a Bachelors degree in Economics from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa and her Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Nebraska.
