R User Groups Continue to Grow

R user groups seem to be sprouting all over. Since last Septemberwe have noticed ten new groups worldwide:

  • Auckland, New Zealand: Auckland-R-Users-Group (AKLRUG) had 33 people attend their March 8th meeting
  • Chang Mai Thailand: Chang Mai is the first R user group in Thailand
  • Durban, South Africa: The Durban R User Group is looking forward to holding its first meeting on April 10th
  • Luxembourg, Belgium: LuxR has met 4 times since last November, twice discussing Kaggle competitions
  • Marburg, Germany: MaRburg Local User Group had it first meeting last November
  • Melbourne, Australia: MelbURN has already had 5 meetings since getting started last September
  • Perm, Russia: peRmR discussed high performance computing at their second meeting
  • Pittsburgh, PA: The Pittsburgh useR Group just announced itself to the world today (3/26)!
  • Santiago, Chile: Grupo de Usuarios de R enChile had its first meeting on March 16th
  • Santa Barbara, CA: The Santa Barbara R Users Group will have its inagural meeting on April 4th!
