CFP: ‘Accessible Future’ Workshop in Lincoln, NE
ProfHacker 2014-09-11
Here at ProfHacker, we’ve published a number of things over the years about accessibility in digital environments. And regular readers will remember that last September we announced the first Accessible Future workshop, which took place in Boston last semester. After Boston, we led a workshop in Austin, Texas.
Now we’re accepting applications for our third workshop, which will be held on November 14 and 15, 2014 in Lincoln, Nebraska. If you are interested in digital environments and accessibility, please apply. The Accessible Future workshop is intended for humanists, librarians, information scientists, and cultural heritage professionals who wish to learn about technologies, design standards, and accessibility issues associated with the use of digital technologies
In all, this NEH-funded 2-day workshop will be repeated 4 times in different geographical regions, so if you can’t make it to one of them you can always apply to another. (After Lincoln, we will lead our fourth and final workshop in Atlanta, Georgia in early 2015.)
To get an idea of what the workshops offer
- Review the workshop agenda,
- Look over the collaborative participant notes from the Boston workshop,
- Read the blog posts written by past workshop participants Karen Bourrier, Molly Schwartz, Adeline Koh, and Susan Floyd.
