Open Thread: Favorite New Podcasts? Here Are 5 Good Ones
ProfHacker 2018-01-10

Given that Heather just put in a plug for her favorite app for listening to podcasts, I thought it might be a good idea to check in on which podcasts people are listening to. Here are 5 good ones I’ve been listening to lately:
With Friends Like These: "Ana Marie Cox talks to liberals and conservatives, religious leaders, writers, activists, and people you should know for a show that’s about listening instead of arguing."
Mission to Zyxx: a science fiction comedy "created and performed by six improvisers who met at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City."
Radiolab Presents: More Perfect: "connects you to the decisions made inside the Supreme Court’s hallowed halls, and explains what those rulings mean for ‘we the people’ who exist far from the bench."
Heavyweight: "Maybe you’ve laid awake imagining how it could have been, how it might yet be, but the moment to act was never right. Well, the moment is here and the podcast making it happen is Heavyweight."
The Hilarious World of Depression: "a series of frank, moving, and, yes, funny conversations with top comedians who have dealt with this disease, hosted by veteran humorist and public radio host John Moe."
