Is Obama a hypocrite?

Obama isn't a hypocrite for having his daughters at a private school. He's not a hypocrite for being in charge of public education while refusing to opt into the system. If you truly believe the system is broken, it isn't hypocritical to opt out. What makes him hypocritical is this: he advocates a set of policies that promote a pedagogy that go completely against the type of learning his daughters enjoy. Saying that class size doesn't matter. Pushing for more tests. Using VAM scores to judge teachers. These aren't just bad ideas that he endorses. These are ideas he promotes as the solution for everybody else's kids but his own. It's the elitist mentality that says, "I know what's best for those kids, even if I would never actually do that for my own."
