Ponemon Institute is pleased to present the findings of the 2025 Cost of Insider Risks Global Report sponsored by DTEX Systems. This is the sixth benchmark study conducted to understand the financial consequences that result from insider risks. Expanding on the 2023 edition, this latest report examines how organizations are funding their insider risk management programs and introduces new data evaluating their effectiveness in pre-empting breaches, reducing costs, avoiding regulatory fines, and more. You can’t DETER what you can’t DETECT. Since 2018, participating organizations have more than doubled from 156 to 349. The first study was conducted in 2016 and focused exclusively on companies in North America. Since then, the research has expanded to include organizations in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific with a global headcount of 500 to more than 75,000.
