MakeUseOf: “Browser extensions enhance the functionality of the browser, and most of us have at least one third-party add-on installed. I always keep a handful of Chrome extensions installed for productivity, and some of them are ones I genuinely can’t browse without. Ad blockers, full-page screenshot tools, price comparison trackers, they all seem harmless enough. However, some of these extensions, including ones with thousands of five-star reviews, can see your passwords as you type them into websites. A vulnerability in how browsers share page data with extensions gives them unrestricted access to everything on a web page, and some have been caught leaking sensitive user information because of it.
