Criminal Justice Coordinating Council: two-year report

Summary:

The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, created by New York City Mayor John Lindsay in response to a recommendation by the President's Crime Commission, completed its second year in April 1969. An 18-month report on its work was issued in November 1968. This April 1969 report updates previous accounts of the Council's major projects. The Vera Institute of Justice is overall consultant to the Council, its committees, and constituent City agencies.
