Poor Print Quailty

Summary:
Since using Sibelius 8.3 I find that the print quality is not as good as I achieved with Sibelius 6. With 6 I achieved optimum print quality with both my OKI and HP A3 laser printers. With 8.3 I notice that some of the stave lines are not equal in thickness of density - see the attached image. I have raised this with AVID and they do say that there is a problem here. To achieve a decent quality stave I have to increase the line thickness to 0,19. This creates a reasonable equal stave on printout. I have devilled with the settings on my printers but why should there be a difference between 6 and 8.3? I have trawled the Forum and this site but no one else seems to have commented. Am I the only one. I do need my print quality to be of a professional standard for publication.
