Slow editing response in large scores

Summary:
Sibelius 7 and 8 have unacceptably slow editing response time in large scores (Symphony, Opera, Oratorio) which contain many hidden midi messages (~C7, q=, etc.) necessary for the use of mixed sound sources (non-VST + VST). Breaking long movements into two or more segments is not feasible.
