Add Mute Button preference. On/Off vs On/Half/Off

In the mixer, I can see the value of a three position mute button for some folks. But personally, I find it cumbersome, Anyone else? I would love to disable it. How about a preference setting to allow just normal on/off? OR a shortcut could be useful, like CTRL + CLICK, that skips the half setting.
