Copy only notes - Not Lyrics

After copying and pasting notes where lyrics were with the original, I find I have to select each individual syllable on the pasted notes to delete. If the copying was correct in the first place by doing something like holding down the ALT key to disown the lyrics but copy the notes that would be such a time saver.. Even save going to all the (what would be), unnecessary filter options.
