Summary:

PES 2016 will be coming to PC this September 17th. Konami's soccer series has been making strides in recent installments, but can this be the year it finally catches up with EA's FIFA?

What's coming this year?

PES 2016's main focus is fluid player movement. They'll move more realistically, and less robotically. This will sit alongside more complex ball physics, to create more realistic, unpredictable gameplay.

Konami is also introducing a dynamic weather system. That means the weather could change during matches, forcing you to adapt your style of play.

This year's game will be more of an evolution than PES 2015, which was quite a radical change. That was great, especially in terms of gameplay, and we think that with just a few improvements and some polish, it could be the soccer game this year - even without the extensive licensing that FIFA enjoys.

More information very soon

Komani is promising more new features and developments, but they haven't announced them yet. Over the following months, we'll find out more about PES 2016's licensing, and other improvements.

PES is arguably the more realistic soccer game in terms of gameplay, but EA is also promising greater realism for FIFA 16 this year, so Konami can not afford to rest on its laurels. Stay tuned for more details very soon.
