Meet HLS Experts-in-Residence at the i-Lab

For students from the law school and beyond who are interested in entrepreneurship, we invite you to take this opportunity to meet with one (or more!) of the law school’s Experts-in-Residence, Sridhar Prasad and Dennis Berman.  With a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise, the EiRs have volunteered their time to help students succeed in entrepreneurial ventures with career and business advice drawn from their years of experience. You can sign up for a meeting with the EiRs here – please note that all meetings will take place at the i-Lab, and meetings must be scheduled by 5pm the day prior.

About the EiRs:

10/21 – Sridhar Prasad: Sridhar is a manager in Bridgespan’s Boston office, where he works with nonprofits in a number of sectors (global development, education, mental health, and early childhood development). Sridhar previously worked as a project leader at the Boston Consulting Group on a range of practice areas, including health care, education, and technology, media, and telecom. Before BCG, he served as a program analyst for the FCC’s National Broadband Task Force. He also has worked for the Clinton Foundation’s HIV/AIDS Initiative in India, as well as for the Sewalanka Foundation, a Sri Lankan nonprofit focused on issues of economic empowerment & community mobilization. He started his career at Katzenbach Partners LLC. Sridhar holds a BA from Columbia University, a JD from the Harvard Law School, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

10/27 – Dennis Berman: Dennis Berman has been co-founder and/or seed investor in six companies, all of which went public, achieving a combined value over $7 billion. The most well known of these was Intervu Inc, one of the first software as a service companies which delivered 50% of all online video traffic when it was acquired by Akamai in 2000. Other companies Dennis was involved with include two life sciences groups, Gensia Pharmaceuticals and Viagene, and Kintera, a pioneer in Internet fundraising. Dennis is co-founder and Executive Vice President Corporate Development of Tocagen Inc., a gene therapy company developing treatments for cancer patients. Dennis holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in Economics and a B.S. from The Wharton School in Accounting and Economics. He also holds a General Course Certificate from the London School of Economics and received his JD from Harvard Law School.
