Artificial Intelligence and Criminal Justice Roundtable

Hey all - Public Knowledge is having a roundtable on artificial intelligence and criminal justice. The event will be held on January 29 from 9:30am - 12:00pm at New Venture Fund (1201 Connecticut Ave NW #300) Conversation will focus on the effect AI has already had on criminal justice, and what may be yet to come. We will also discuss the ways judicial processes using AI are affected by transparency, bias, trade secrets, self-fulfilling prophecies, and protective orders in discovery. This will be an opportunity to analyze the steps creators and politicians have taken to protect the public from malignant systems, and what should be done to ensure that future use of AI is in the public interest.
