Summary:
A former employee of money transfer service Intermex claims she was fired after uninstalling an app that constantly tracked her whereabouts, even during non-work hours, reports Ars Technica. Employees were reportedly required to keep their phones on 24/7, and some were even told they would be monitored while off-duty. "This intrusion would be highly offensive to a reasonable person,” noted the former employee’s complaint against Intermex.
