Summary:

DOH!!! TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES -- NYPD-picked bodycams are having problems in other cities by the Post's Michael Gartland: " The new bodycams that the NYPD is planning to roll out for its officers have had significant problems in other cities - and were cast aside for another brand in 10 other major municipalities, a Brooklyn councilman said Monday. Charging that the City Council was 'left in the dark'' over the vendor-selection process, Democratic Councilman Robert Cornegy cited reports that said the NYPD's new VieVu cameras, produced by the Fla.-based Safariland Group, deleted 25 percent of data in Oakland, Ca. And in Cincinnati, a field test of VieVu revealed the 'software has crashed repeatedly requiring restarting, specifically when reviewing recorded video,' he noted."
