Summary:

"Jisc is seeking an enthusiastic individual to take the lead on Jisc’s participation in two high-profile EU funded projects: EOSCPilot and OpenAIRE. Both of these projects will focus on opening access to all aspects of the research process across Europe.

Jisc has significant involvement in three remaining work packages in the OpenAIRE2020 project and some of that involvement is via its role as the UK national open access desk.

The purpose of the role is therefore to:

Play a leading role in Jisc’s delivery of the national open access desk: outreach, dissemination, support and training, working with Jisc staff in the open access team and elsewhere

Contribute substantively to particular work packages on usage statistics for open access content, metadata and related guidelines, and front-end services such as portal and notification (with OpenAIRE-Connect)

Provide overall management of Jisc’s involvement in the OpenAIRE2020 project and any further OpenAIRE work

With others, ensure synergies are realised between Jisc’s involvement in OpenAIRE, related international projects, and its UK-based projects and services

The work requires the post-holder to lead on the collaboration with project partners across Europe and strong engagement with those across the sector as well as working in consultation with colleagues within Jisc. The role will require the planning and implementation of activities and engagement to ensure deliverables are developed with consultation and consensus with stakeholders and partners."
