Mercy Corps learning manager Sophie Roden described this benefit, saying, “Peer-to-peer networks like WhatsApp enabled young people to learn from each other, and encouraged staff to persevere in difficult contexts. Many [social mobilizers] were motivated to go the extra mile to hard-to-reach communities because they could share photos and their experience across the ECAP social mobilizer [network] and receive support from project staff.”
