Summary:
Canonical Wnt signaling is critical for melanocyte lineage commitment and melanoma development. RAD6B, a ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme critical for translesion DNA synthesis, potentiates β-catenin stability/activity by inducing proteasome-insensitive polyubiquitination.
