Summary:
"This position will lead and advise on evolving models of scholarly communication, open access initiatives, and copyright with regard to the creation of both teaching resources and research outputs. This position will support academic staff, students, librarians, and administrators.
This includes:
- Advocating for and supporting the availability and use of material under open access and Creative Commons initiatives (both open access publishing and open educational resources) in support of the University’s strategic direction
- Delivering high quality, effective and consistent advice and support so that staff and students understand their rights and responsibilities as users and creators of copyright material in the course of their teaching, research, administrative duties and community service
- Ensuring the University fulfils its obligations under the Copyright Act and in relation to relevant copyright licences and regulations
- Assisting University staff and students in the interpretation of licences and other agreements related to access, dissemination and use of scholarly information resources"
