"About the position:
- Supports the faculty, staff, undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education of the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and the Cooper Health Care System
- Tenure track position for Librarian III or Librarian II with an ALA accredited master’s degree
- Part of a fast growing university on three campuses includes both a new allopathic and an established osteopathic medical school
- Expected to serve on committees on both the Camden and Glassboro campuses
The successful candidate in this position will:
- Demonstrate knowledge of scholarly research and publishing processes and resources, including journal selection criteria, citation management, open access, peer review, and legal/ethical issues
- Inform and educate faculty, staff and students of trends and policy issues related to models of scholarly communication
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to outstanding reference service and improving the user experience
- Demonstrate teaching ability in both a group setting and through one-on-one instruction
- Cultivate relationships, assess information needs of the community through outreach, consultation, training and current awareness
- Demonstrate commitment to learn and pursue appropriate presentation and publication opportunities expected for a library faculty member on the tenure track (Combined)
- Plan, coordinate, implement and juggle concurrent projects in response to shifting priorities
- Work in collaboration with other librarians and partner with faculty, staff and student"
