30 milliards d’euros pour le programme européen Horizon 2020 entre 2018 et 2020 ( EUR 30 billion for the Horizon 2020 European program between 2018 and 2020)

The European Commission is going to invest 30 billion euros from the European Union's research and innovation funding program, Horizon 2020, between 2018 and 2020.  2.7 billion euros for will be set aside for the launch of the European Innovation Council. The program is making a radical shift in the promotion of open science by publishing research results in scientific journals that disseminate knowledge at early stages of the research process. A further 2 billion euros will be earmarked for open science and 600 million euros for the European cloud for open science, European data infrastructure and high-performance computing.
