About the position: At Nord University, the university library, the city of Bodø, there is a free 100% permanent position as senior adviser / adviser at the library manager. The position has offices in Bodø.

Open Access to results from publicly funded research is viewed as a democratic principle and generally accepted. An argument that has been given attention in recent years is the idea that open access for all to new research results will promote development and growth - not just within research but for society as a whole. The candidate will work extensively and operationally with the aim of ensuring that research results from North University are made available through the institution's digital science archive. Among other things, it involves close contact with the academic community in order to inform and guide, and further develop the library's services in this area.

Key tasks will be case processing on behalf of the library manager, further development of policy and guidelines, production of relevant operations and management information, management of the OA fund at Nord University, as well as training and guidance to the academic community, and to further develop online-based information and user-oriented guidance. Furthermore, Open Access publishing will be followed up, for example, for projects funded by the Norwegian Research Council (NFR), and the work includes active data capture of published papers for parallel publishing in the science archive. The companion will, together with another employee, constitute UB's competency course in the field and is expected to participate as well as contribute to the national and international arena / network for competence development and further development of existing infrastructure for Open Access publishing, as well as disseminating North's activities. It is expected that the two employees in close cooperation will provide a robust, coordinated and user-friendly service. The candidate is expected to produce a good overview of the requirements of the overall authority and research financiers (Ministry of Education and Research, such as the NFR and the EU). It is expected that the person contributed contributes to the processing and follow-up work related to Open Data...."
