On 15 and 16 June 2018, one of four OERcamps organized in Germany took place at the vocational school for media and communication (BMK) in Hamburg: the OERcamp Nord 2018. The TUHH library was represented with the project "Open scientific work".

What is an OERcamp?

Behind the term is a meeting for creators and multipliers of free learning and teaching materials, which are published under open and open licenses (Open Educational Resources). The program is not dominated by frontal lectures but numerous practical workshops. The variety of topics is great. There were workshops on active media design, cultural change at universities and technology potential in the context of the actual OER production. From general introductions to various topics to more in-depth discussions, participants can put together their program according to individual interests. In the session part you can bring in your own questions and ideas and discuss them with other camp participants.

A Workshop on "Open University"

The tub. has participated this year in the OERcamp North program with the workshop "Open University: Shaping the Future Together". In the course of the workshop, various projects of the Hamburg Open Online University (HOOU) illustrated possible answers to the question "What can 'university open' mean?" And thus stimulated the further discussion, whose main points and results are documented on a pin board and in an etherpad were...."
