We wanted to share some really good news – that Thoth Open Metadata has received a finalist nomination for the ALPSP Award for Innovation in Publishing 2025

The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) is the international trade association which supports and represents not-for-profit organisations that publish scholarly and professional content, and those that work with them. ALPSP is proud to have over 320 member organisations across 35 countries. 

The Award for Innovation in Publishing celebrates any new development, product, service, launch or project which is both innovative and of significant value to scholarly communication. 

Finalists from the scholarly and professional publishing industry were selected based on their demonstration of excellence in terms of originality and innovation, significance and value to their community, utility and long-term viability. 

Thoth was selected from 15 nominations and shortlisted along with three other finalists. Hannah Hillen (Metadata & Publisher Outreach Specialist) and Toby Steiner (COO) from the Thoth team were given the opportunity to present to the judging panel on the benefits and advances we represent in the sector.
