Summary:

Copim Conference 2026: Exploring the future of community-led open access books

#CopimConference

Copim is offering three sponsored places to this year’s conference ‘Exploring the future of community-led open access books’, a hybrid event being held online and in-person at Loughborough University (London Campus) on 26 and 27 February. These places are intended for those who are early career within the library sector, typically within their first ten years of working in the sector and not in a senior role.

The sponsored places will cover in-person attendance at both days including hotel accommodation w/breakfast for 2 nights (25 and 26 February), plus transport costs up to £200. Registration for the conference is free for all. Additional support may be available if required – please contact us to discuss if this is something you would need. More information about the conference can be found here.

These places are in memory of our beloved friend and colleague Elaine Sykes, who sadly passed away last year. Elaine was an inspirational and brilliant person who is greatly missed. Her determination, passion, wisdom and belief in a fairer, more open system for scholarly publishing inspired us all. She was an indispensable part of the Copim community; our current project – Open Book Futures – could not have succeeded without Elaine’s contributions.
