Scholarly publishing is probably still most often thought of in terms of journals, which means that books are too often overlooked. So, this month, we hear from Lucy Barnes and a whole team of people collaborating on infrastructures for the open access scholarly monograph. Writing them may often be a solitary pursuit but the resilient infrastructures to support them require the efforts of many. Here, some of the team from COPIM explain their approach of ’scaling small.’
