‘This is what the publication model of the future looks like’, says Gerard Meijer, director at the Fritz-Haber-Institut of the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (Berlin). On behalf of a consortium of German research institutions, he negotiated a ‘groundbreaking’ Open Access agreement with publisher Wiley. Wiley publishes scientific journals, highly esteemed by chemists for publishing their research.
