Summary:
Big questions raised by big data
Berkman Klein Executive Director Urs Gasser, spoke about the legal and ethical risks and implications of using big data for health at the book launch for Big Data, Health Law, and Bioethics. Gasser noted that health data, and the promises it affords, may have an unequal impact on different populations. “That’s not something where technology should or can give the answer,” Gasser said during the event. “That’s really a conversation we as a society need to have.”
