The Academy’s Charter defines Fellows as persons of the highest distinction in scholarship in the field of the humanities. Focusing on specific examples of the candidate’s work, could you please address each of the criteria in the form below.

It is essential that the Academy maintains confidence in the integrity of its electoral process. In considering new Candidates for election, Fellows of the Academy rely on impartial advice being provided by independent referees. Assessors are therefore asked to declare any private or professional interests or relationships that could or could be seen to influence the advice they are providing.
