Before Fortnite became a cultural phenomenon, it was a borderline indie effort from Epic Games to revive a genre that not many cared about. It partnered with Gearbox in 2017 to release discs in an extremely limited quantity that are now classified as collector's items, one of which has just sold for its highest amount ever.
