The Road Ahead: Cyber Security in 2020 and Beyond

Industry Perspectives 2020-11-19

As the year draws to a close, each of us in the cyber security industry should stop and take a moment to reflect on what we experienced in 2019. Then, with that in mind, we should face forward and take a good hard look at what we expect to see in 2020. As FireEye General Counsel Alexa King says, the more we can work out and prepare for in advance, the better.

Preparedness as it relates to cyber security is just one of the many topics we explore in our latest report, The Road Ahead: Cyber Security in 2020 and Beyond.

In the report, helping to get us thinking about cyber security in the coming year is a group of FireEye senior leaders that includes Alexa, CSO Steven Booth, CTO for Cloud Martin Holste, SVP of Global Intelligence Sandra Joyce, and CTO for Americas Dave Baumgartner, as well as various other researchers, analysts, responders and experts.

Each of our leaders brings to the table expertise in specific areas of cyber security that simply cannot all be covered by a single individual. Contributions from such a range of people allow us to present thoughts on a wide array of topics, including cloud, the skills gap, intelligence, ransomware, the upcoming U.S. elections, cyber criminal operations, supply chain, and much more.
