ABSTRACT
The Japan Health Research Promotion Bureau established the 6NC-EHRs database by integrating electronic medical records from eight hospitals under the six National Centres for Advanced and Specialized Medicine. This comprehensive database, launched in 2020, includes anonymised data from approximately 870,000 patients and covers a wide range of diseases encountered throughout the human lifespan. Between 2022 and 2024, eight research studies utilised the database. This initiative underscores the value of large-scale, real-world data in advancing clinical research in Japan.
