Open Science and the Decolonization of Knowledge

  In support of the UNESCO global consultations on the development of a Recommendation on Open Science, an international normative document to be submitted to the UNESCO General Conference in November of 2021, UNESCO Cairo and Rabat offices organized a webinar on Open Science and the Decolonization of Knowledge. The webinar was held online on 28 October 2020 in cooperation with the Canadian Commission for UNESCO and the UNESCO Chair in Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education as part of an international series, and was informed by a brief entitled “Open Science beyond Open Access: For and with Communities a Step towards the Decolonization of Knowledge”.
