Summary:

Abstract. "Open Science is a phenomenon pervading scientific practices to make scientific research and its outputs more accessible, transparent, and collaborative. It is gaining momentum globally, and various initiatives were and are underway to promote it. However, implementation varies across disciplines, regions, and institutions. This paper overviews the current state of open science implementation in Italy by analysing the established policies, the scientific production, and the available services documented by several publicly available information systems."
