Summary:

400 ancient documents owned by Johana Betsuin Zentokuji Temple (Nanto) and designated as cultural assests by Toyama Prefecture have been made public on the temple's website (https://www.zenbunken.jp/).

This project was launched in 2020 by the Association of Zentoku Cultural Preservation and Research Promotion - NPO法人善徳文化護持研究振興会 (善文研), with the aim of digitizing 9,309 items and making public by 2027. In addition to digitizing the materials, they are also working on deciphering them, using volunteers and AI tools.
