Summary:
On 6 June 2024, the Japan Association of National University Libraries (JANUL) published the results of a survey investigating the status of efforts made by its member libraries in response to the 'Summary of Deliberations on the Role of University Libraries in the Era of Open Science' document proposed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in March 2023.
JANUL conducted the survey from March 18, 2024, to April 30, 2024 and received responses from 85 libraries.
