Summary:

This study investigates the awareness and perceptions of Diamond Open Access (DOA) among library professionals in Pakistan, addressing a critical gap in scholarly communication practices within developing countries. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to library professionals. The perceived benefits of DOA included enhanced dissemination of research, reduced financial barriers for developing countries, and increased citations. Concerns over sustainability and visibility emerged as significant issues. These findings emphasize the role of libraries in promoting equitable access to research and highlight the need for ongoing discussions on the adoption of DOA in Pakistan.
