From DeepL's English: At a time when open science is establishing itself as a key framework for research policy, this critical literature review explores the debates surrounding its adoption within the humanities and social sciences (HSS) in France. It draws on a diverse and non-exhaustive corpus of publications of various types, published between 2010 and 2025, compiled through monitoring and iterative bibliographic research as part of a doctoral study. The aim is to stimulate reflection on the reception of open science policies within the SSHs, examining the gap between visible discourse — in the sense of published texts — and concrete practices. We propose a critical analysis of scholarly output devoted to open science, highlighting the tensions underlying its implementation and the trade-offs it entails. Drawing on a diverse corpus — research articles, opinion pieces, reports and conference papers — we organise our examination around six key themes: open access, openness, open science(s), the distinct transformations in the publishing processes of books and academic journals, research data in the social sciences and humanities, and institutionalisation. This approach aims to shed light on the dynamics of these discussions, balancing disciplinary roots with national specificities: in this way, we seek to engage in dialogue with the international literature.
