Scientific and Technical Information Program | A Collaboration to Ensure Access to DOE R&D Results 2014-08-05

"As required by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), the Department of Energy has prepared, secured approval of and posted the DOE Public Access Plan for providing access to the results of DOE-funded scientific research.  This positions the Department and its dedicated STIP representatives to move forward on achieving its goals and enable public access to scholarly scientific publications.  Below you will find links to key information about the DOE public access initiative: [1] DOE PAGESBeta, the Department’s portal that will offer free access to the best available full-text version of DOE-affiliated scholarly publications; [2] STIP Public Access FAQs; and [3] OSTI’s Public Access Policy page, which includes such resources as the DOE Public Access Plan, the DOE news release and additional information about DOE PAGESBeta and the Office of Science Statement on Digital Data Management, and the February 22, 2013 OSTP Memorandum to Agency Heads, 'Increasing Access to the Results of Federally Funded Scientific Research.' Many sites and offices have been planning for this day and through STIP, we will continue to share information and guidance.  Questions may be sent to"
