Open Access at Oxford » Achieving compliance with the RCUK policy on Open Access: Case study 1

Summary:

"The steps towards achieving compliance with the RCUK policy on Open Access by an Oxford researcher will be different depending on many factors including: differences in the individual funders’ and publishers’ requirements, multiple sources of funding, sole- or co-authored papers, whether a corresponding author is from Oxford or from another institution etc. Through our OA enquiries mailing list (open-access-enquiries@bodleian.ox.ac.uk), among the others, we receive many emails from Oxford researchers. You describe your particular situation and ask for advice on how to achieve compliance with the RCUK policy. We have turned some of these enquiries into case studies, replacing real names and unnecessarily details but retaining the actual scenario. Here we publish the first case study in our series. It describes a situation in which a paper to be published is co-authored, the corresponding author comes from Oxford and the research was funded jointly by two councils: EPSRC and ESRC."
