Summary:

"In this workshop hosted by the Center for Digital Research and Scholarship, we’ll work with you on how and why to share your thesis or dissertation, and on managing your data from your project’s inception. In the first half of the session, join us to discuss copyright, licensing, privacy, embargoes, future publishing options, and depositing your work in Academic Commons, Columbia’s research repository. Learn about the benefits and challenges of sharing and become a more effective advocate for your research and scholarly projects. In the second half of the session, we’ll work with you on research data management for your projects, regardless of your discipline or format. Come learn about ways to keep your information and data safe, findable, and usable! Planning to manage your data from your project’s inception, through its publication, and to its next instantiation, paves your way to success in meeting requirements, and making you a more effective and efficient researcher or scholar. This workshop is for graduate students at Columbia and its affiliates. If you’d like to attend, please RSVP at http://bit.ly/RegisterOct6Workshop."
