Summary:
As Executive Office of the Australian Open Access Support Group you will take a leadership role in promoting and supporting the development of policies and practices to support open access to the research outputs of publicly funded research.
The position will see you engaging with policy makers, funders and university leaders on the major policy issue of open access.
Position overview
The Australian Open Access Group exists to: Advocate, Collaborate, Raise Awareness and Lead & Build Capacity in the open access space. It achieves this by communicating widely to a range of audiences through several channels. The group is funded through membership – there are currently ten members.
The Executive Officer of the Australian Open Access Support Group is responsible for leading policy development and facilitating open access to scholarly information resources in Australian research institutions. The incumbent also participates in national discussions and ensures capacity building in publicly funded Australian research institutions. The person will also support the Group through administrative work including organizing events and submissions.
