PubPsych – ein neues Open Access Psychologie-Suchportal 2013-07-04


[From Google's English] "PubPsych, a new psychology search portal with a European focus now, from around the world free of charge for research, practice and public. PubPsych provides a broad and thorough overview of psychological knowledge and is led by the Leibniz-Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID) at Trier University of cooperating European and American scientific information providers provided.  According to its multilingual nature can PubPsych be searched in English, French, Spanish and German language. In accordance with international agreements on Open Access supports PubPsych open access to educational resources and promotes the active participation of emerging and developing countries in the global exchange of scientific information.   PubPsych contains references with comprehensive indexing and abstracts for more than 800,000 journal articles, books, book chapters, dissertations, intervention programs and research data from all areas of psychology as well as psychological and educational tests.   How important it is to make regional research in multilingual Europe more visible reflected in the fact that about 45% of PubPsych documents originally present in non-English language. In a first step, they are tapped into PubPsych with this parallel English abstracts and keywords. In future PubPsych versions further translation services will be offered.
