Summary:

[From Google's English] "The week in Cambridge, adjoining Boston, I was introduced to several of the most innovative projects. The unique ecosystem of this region gives rise to similar initiatives in raw seeds that germinate in many countries in the next few years. particular, I felt that way in discovering the work of Merce Crosas and his team in Institute for Quantitative Studies .  This is after crossing the large and pleasant campus of Harvard that I arrived at the institute where the dynamic team ofDataverse
Network welcomed me. Under the leadership of Merce Crosas, this project is a platform for Open Data which also offers many features are integrated into the landscape of the Open Science .  The Dataverse Network allows any researcher to share, store their data but also include reuse and those of other researchers . Originally scheduled to host data in the social sciences, the platform includes a complete process for making non-identifiable information . Indeed, the sharing of data on humans is a field that requires special precautions. It is necessary to make them anonymous to ensure that they can be associated with the person from which they originate.  The Dataverse Network also incorporates a number of features for creating meaningful interconnections with other areas of the Open Science . He worked with the Open Journal System s to more easily link the data to the corresponding scientific articles.  This secure and interconnected infrastructure is an important lever to new practices, encouraging researchers to provide access to their data . One of the major impacts of such initiatives Open Data is including the ability to track this information. It thus offers new evaluation and quality control of work in research methods . In this sense, many projects related to the reproducibility of the data is also developed in Open Science (Reproducibility project , initiative ).  Between the project Dataverse Network and other initiatives developed at Harvard, the Stem Cell commons , the oldest of the United States (1636) University seems to be ahead of its time. She incubates and promotes the development of initiatives that have all their usefulness and influence the world of research today and tomorrow."
