Healthy growth of Open Access publications in the Netherlands

"The year 2013 showed a healthy growth rate of Open Access Publications in the Netherlands. In the overarching repository Narcis a total of 365,698 publications were registered compared to 310,144 at the beginning of the year. We therefore noted an 18% increase in Open Access publications in the Netherlands. Over the preceding year the growth rate of Open Access publication was 15%. So the growth showed and increase as well. it is to be foreseen that we will pass the 400,000 Open Access publications somewhere this year."
