Summary:

"In a region where transparency is often scarce, a new initiative is working to foster an open and more collaborative society in the Middle East. OpenMENA is a project that aims at opening access to information, knowledge and data and creating an atmosphere of openness and transparency in the Arab World. We’re extremely happy to witness the launch of OpenMENA and we look forward to participating in and learning from the many exciting activities and discussions that will emerge as the project develops! For more information check out the superb OpenMENA homepage (http://mena.okfn.org/) read about the launch (http://mena.okfn.org/2013/12/04/hello-world-2/) and follow on Twitter (https://twitter.com/OpenMENA)."
