We are looking for an outstanding individual to lead the business and editorial development of our owned Open Access content across science and the humanities and social science. This is a new role, reporting in to the Managing Director, Open Research, and is a unique opportunity for a visionary publisher to shape the development of this fast- developing field which is transforming how research is accessed. You will take responsibility for creating strategic goals and implementation plans, both for the publishing in your remit and for the crucial processes which impact our author service. You will have a deep understanding of the evolving scholarly ecosystem, and particularly the needs of researchers, funders and institutions. You will be an innovator, building new relationships and exploiting all the digital, commercial and social possibilities that Open Research invites. You will be an inspiring leader, ensuring that our content and service are best in class. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in strategic publishing, and a thorough understanding both of the needs of academics, researchers and of Open Research developments.  He or she will be an experienced manager with strong financial and analytical skills, ideally with expertise in building new teams for high performance.
