Summary:

The digitisation of cultural heritage in Europe is well on track. Now that millions of items from archives, museums and libraries are available in digital form, the focus is shifting to the actual use and impact of those digital collections. To increase the cultural value of digitally connected collections, there is need to improve the levels of cross-domain connectivity, multilingualism, data quality, rights-management and platform and audience development. Europe – with its rich cultural history and  evolving Digital Single Market -  is both a challenging and inspiring scale to work on those improvements.
